| Cellar Master Notes |
Syrah has a unique character most often described as “peppery†and responds well to oak. It remains one of the noblest red varieties, fabled for its ability to age majestically for decades.
Syrah Reserve has been barrel aged in European oak for 9 months – this imparts an extra smoothness and oaky notes to the wine.
Specially selected premium grapes have been used to create the Reveilo Syrah Reserve.
The wine’s aroma is dominated by notes of berries / cherries, with some oak and flint on the side. Due to barrel aging for 9 months in European oak, the spicy notes so characteristic of Syrah grapes are quite subdued. |
| Tasting Notes |
The fruity notes are dominant and the woody character is also very persistent. The structure reflects a fresh and moderate juvenility. The smoky character makes this wine complex and juvenile, although important. The taste is smooth with balanced tannins, and fairly long-lasting.
This wine is perfect to drink with pasta dishes, meat and spicy food.
